‘Great New Idea’ competition
encourages new innovation in conscious thinking
The ‘Great New Idea’ competition has launched as part of the inaugural Conscious Hospitality Show. Designed to allow innovators to display their new ethically and sustainably conscious initiatives, the competition is gaining attention from a range of entrants. Visitors to the Conscious Hospitality Show are able to pick the winner with entries to date covering free-from common allergen food ranges, 100% natural cleaning products, space saving multifunction furniture, water dispensing appliances, technology that reduces physical paperwork, and more.
Elizabeth Duncan, Conscious Hospitality Show commercial director, said: “Sustainability and social responsibility are becoming more important to businesses and consumers. Our exhibitors are keen to bring new ideas to the table that help businesses to operate. We are impressed with the innovation displayed within the entries we have received so far and we are looking forward to canvassing visitors’ opinions and counting the votes to find our first ‘conscious’ winner.”
Competition entries across The Restaurant Show and Conscious Hospitality Show include Y3K LLC with its additive free ice cream available in E-Free, GMO, Gluten and Alcohol Free varieties, Monika with its ‘Pathfinder’ device to monitor and electronically record temperatures of food from storage to preparation, and Aquaint with its 100% natural antibacterial sanitising water that can be used on surfaces and skin.
Conscious Hospitality Show allows attendees to explore fresh ideas and processes taking into consideration health and nutrition, responsible sourcing, sustainability and ethical business practices. Visitors have access to over 350 exhibitors, specialist guest speakers, and culinary demonstrations.
Conscious Hospitality Show will run alongside The Restaurant Show on 5 - 7 October 2015 at Olympia, London. Tickets are free to those who register in advance via the website or £25 on the door.
