Thousands of visitors will head to Olympia, London next week to discover some of the biggest, most inspirational and successful shows in hospitality. The Restaurant Show, The Bar & Pub Show, Conscious Hospitality Show and Catering Equipment Expo take place from Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th October and there’s still time to register for a free visitor pass. Once visitors have claimed their badge it allows them to gather expertise, knowledge, advice and inspiration from some of the industry’s most respected leaders and businesses.
Stimulating speakers take to the stage
The Stage and The Bar & Pub Hub are the places-to-be to absorb information and insights and watch demonstrations from some of the UK’s most successful chefs. Just some of the well-known chefs taking to the stage include Clare Smyth MBE, Tom Kerridge, Alyn Williams, Stephen Harris, Daniel Galmiche and Andrew Pern. Sharing insights into latest trends will be Simon Stenning from MCA Insight and OpenTable who will host a range of fascinating panel debates. Whilst industry specialists Patricia Michelson and the Fantastical Espresso Brothers reveal how it’s not simply about three courses when dining out.
After becoming the first female British chef to hold three Michelin stars, Clare Smyth’s newly-opened solo restaurant marks a fresh career high. Attendees can hear the secrets of her success, and experience her signature dishes, in this much-anticipated live interview.

Encounter 450 exciting exhibitors
The supplier exhibition is one of the biggest of its kind and products on offer range from equipment to food & drink and technology. The Bar & Pub Show visitors will be able to sample the delights from The Big Drop Brewing Company. Rob Fink, Founder of Big Drop Brewing added “More and more adults are moderating their alcohol consumption or giving up altogether, including the 18-24 age group, in which 1 in 5 are teetotal, so pubs and bars have to adapt to stay relevant. But whilst people are drinking less they are also being more demanding about their choice of drink and craft beers have been instrumental in making people think differently and expect more from their beer.”
Celebrating champions with industry competitions
At the show, visitors will be one of the first to discover the winner of The National Chef of the Year and The Young National Chef of the Year titles. Visitors will be part of the live audience and will be able to witness every slice, sizzle and smell that happens in the competition theatre. Guests can also watch the hugely anticipated announcement of the winners on The Stage on Tuesday 3rd October.
Other competitions taking place include the UK Pastry Open and Kikkoman Masters on Monday 2nd October and three exhilarating Compass Chef of the Year events focusing on apprentice, junior and senior chefs on the final day of the show.
