This October the best new innovations for the hospitality industry were unveiled at Olympia during the co-located The Restaurant Show, Conscious Hospitality Show and The Bar & Pub Show.

 The Great New Idea competition celebrates new ideas, products, services or initiatives within the industry. Exhibitors entered their new products online to be voted for by visitors ahead of the shows. On-site judges then reviewed votes and evaluated the products before revealing the finalists and announcing the Great New Idea winners live on stage.


Meet the finalists and winners



Sous Vide Tools took the top spot at The Restaurant Show with a new countertop induction cooker offering temperature accuracy to half a degree.

A huge well done as well to runners up Fever Tree Ltd for their Madagascan Cola drink and Il Gelato Di Ariela for their Avocado Sorbet.




Taking the title for Conscious Hospitality Show was Thors Design, who reuse and transform rustic Azobé wood from decommissioned Danish wharves into stylish, designer furniture.

The two other Great New Idea contenders were Natufia Labs PLC for their Natufia Kitchen Gardens and Winterhalter Ltd for their UC Excellence-I with reverse osmosis commercial warewashing solutions.




Over at The Bar & Pub Show, the Great New Idea award was presented to Greens Beers for their impressive range of gluten free beers.

“I was impressed with Green’s delicious range of gluten free beers and loved that they are really opening beer up to a wider range of audience to enjoy – a massive well done to David Ware and his team on winning,” Richard Fox, Ambassador Love Food, Hate Waste who presented the award said.

Recognition must also be given to the finalists at The Bar & Pub Show who were just pipped to the post for this year’s accolade; Alfa Pro for their Opera Dual Fuel and Quattro Dual Fuel Portable ovens and Twisted Halo Drinks Ltd for their low calorie blend of coconut water and premium vodka.
