William Reed are thrilled to announce that the UK Food & Drink Shows have been named the ‘Best UK Tradeshow more than 8,000sqm’ at the prestigious Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards in London on Friday 14th June 2024.

The AEO Excellence Awards celebrate the best practices, creativity, and outstanding achievements across the events sector, highlighting the efforts of organisers, suppliers, and venues.

With stiff competition from the likes of Informa Markets, Messe Frankfurt and Nineteen Group, the UK Food & Drink Shows 2023 impressed the judges with the great use of data and leveraging the strengths and history of the brand whilst bringing the power of the new into the event.

The goal was to make the UK Food & Drink Shows the standout event in the industry, creating buzz and engagement in the lead-up and ensuring unforgettable experiences for both visitors and exhibitors.

Andrew Reed, Managing Director of Wine & Exhibitions at William Reed commented on the award, saying that ‘the UK Food & Drink Shows are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team. We achieved record attendance and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees and participants alike.’

But don’t just take our word for it…

‘I've always been taught that you learn from the best, and the best of the best are here. There's new innovation, new products, new ways of doing stuff digitally. It’s important to take time out, as it gives me and the team time to think.’

- Peter Batt, MD, Nisa Retail

“We’ve had so many different people walk up to us asking about the brands, the future, the performance of our total portfolio. So I wasn’t necessarily surprised, but I’ve been delighted and I think it’s a fantastic event.”

- Ben Parker, Commercial Director, Britvic

From the whole of the Exhibitions team, we’d like to say a big thank you to our contractors, exhibitors & visitors, event supporters and sponsors for their continued support.

The UK Food & Drink Shows will take place at the NEC Birmingham from 7-9 April 2025, comprising Food & Drink Expo, Farm Shop & Deli Show, National Convenience Show, Foodex Manufacturing Solutions and The Restaurant Show - encompassing food development, manufacturing, grocery, hospitality, specialist retail, forecourt and convenience retail, wholesale, and foodservice under one roof!
