MAKE A DATE WITH THE RESTAURANT SHOW - July 2, 2010
Preparations for The Restaurant Show 2010 are well underway and there are a wide range of exciting and inspiring live events, competitions and seminars to attract visitors working in the restaurant and dining pub sectors. Each day there is something new for everyone; whether it's happening in The Drinks Quarter or on the Centre Stage, visitors will not be disappointed.
The show, which is now in its 22nd year and is set to be bigger and better than ever before, runs from 11th - 13th October 2010. The line-up of live events will see some of the UK's leading chefs demonstrate new and inspirational ideas, Restaurant Managers share their top tips on how to enhance business and Sommeliers and food experts offer advice on how to create that winning menu. Planned features include:
· Centre Stage - the three-day event is packed with world class chefs who will be demonstrating their skills and expertise throughout intense and thrilling workshop sessions
· The Competition Theatre - will see chefs from around the country go head to head with each other, pulling out all the stops to showcase their culinary skills and demonstrate why they're at the top of their game. A show institution which sets the tone for the show, this theatre plays host to some action-packed challenges including National Chef of the Year, Compass Group Chef of the Year and the Indian Restaurant and Gastro Pub Challenges
· Business Briefings - following its success in 2009, visitors can tap into a host of experts discussing the latest industry news and issues facing the restaurant trade through interactive and informative seminars
· On-Site Restaurant - this year, Westminster Kingsway College will be working with some of the country's most talented chefs like Angela Hartnett to create dishes of the finest quality
· The Drinks Quarter - bar managers and Sommeliers will find out all they need to know about stocking the right wines and spirits. They can also sample a range of high quality drinks in the dedicated tasting area
· Central Food and Drink Market - over 100 food and drink companies will be showcasing their range of quality products and new launches to help transform and improve any menu
· The Barry Callebaut World Chocolate Masters - the world's premium International Culinary competition devoted solely to the creative use of chocolate in all its applications is back and will put chocolate craftsmen and women through their paces
